Multifactor Authentication (MFA) Setup for Employer on the Go

Multifactor authentication (MFA) for Employer on the Go adds an extra layer of security that is used to confirm your identity. Think of it as a second lock on your digital door, making it much harder for anyone to break in and steal your data. It’s simple, fast, and crucial for online safety. This is why Capital Payroll Partners is rolling out MFA to all Employer on the Go accounts starting Thursday, December 21st, 2023. When you login to Employer on the Go, you will be prompted to setup MFA. You can either use your email to get a code, or an authenticator app (I.E. Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or Duo).

The instructions below outline the process you will need to complete if you have not already enabled MFA for Employer on the Go.

Upon logging in, you will select the method. Either Email Verification or Authenticator App.

Email Verification

If you select Email Verification, you will enter your email address and click done.

Once setup is complete, you will be prompted to send an email that will contain the 6-digit authentication code. This email will come from Notifications@EmployerOnDemand.com.  If the email is not received you might need to check spam/junk folders. If you still have not received an email, please contact us.

Authenticator App Process

*If you do not already have an authenticator app on your phone, you will need to download one prior to completing the steps below. These are free to download and use.
If you select Authenticator App you will be given a QR code to scan through your authentication app. There is not a set authenticator app that you must use, so you can link to an existing app that you may already use (I.E. Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or Duo). You will also need to enter an email address as a backup form of authentication. Once completed you will click Done.

Once setup is complete, you will be prompted to enter the code from their authentication app after you login.

If you do not have your device available, you can also select Use Email and you will be sent a code (see email authentication).

You can change your MFA options at any time by logging into your account, clicking on your name in the upper right corner, and selecting MFA.

If you would like us to disable MFA for your login, we can do so, however, we highly discourage disabling this extremely useful security feature.
